Rhododendron prefer a pH 4.5-6, which is mid-way acidic, if I remember correctly (without digging out my pH kit) :)

I know my Budlii is a pain to keep under control, and like a Rhody, south of the Watford gap their both considered a pest. I test the Ph value of my fish pond water regularly, perhaps I should find out what sort of soil I have. There is a rhododendron which does quite well and they like acidic don't they.
XRarelesserspottedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15865928245970626612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5083684017954117107.post-72660681030407395252011-03-14T14:24:02.558+00:002011-03-14T14:24:02.558+00:00Purples, yellows, greens?

You may find for similar plants you may get reds and pinks.

Hydrangeas are classic for determining the acidity of a soil. Blue - alkali, red/pink, acidic.Wheeliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10798837094383674273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5083684017954117107.post-76860090165518391062011-03-13T22:50:02.329+00:002011-03-13T22:50:02.329+00:00Hi Jarmara

I've given up on many books that don't ring the bell for me, perhaps that's not right, but I read them to learn and be educated and to laugh and to cry but I want to be interested and to be entertained too. Hope everything is well with you and yours
XRarelesserspottedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15865928245970626612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5083684017954117107.post-36493571223881839142011-03-12T22:05:17.533+00:002011-03-12T22:05:17.533+00:00Lovely flower.
